WORKSHOPS IN OUR LONDON SHOP

Our jewellery making workshops are held at our central London shop, near Carnaby Street.

Book any 3 workshops and receive 10% off - book 3 different workshops or come with friends. 

We will be developing further workshops over the next few months - let us know what you would like to see coming up!

All projects are available in a choice of colours.
   

BEGINNER'S WORKSHOP PEARLY BRACELET & EARRINGS

This workshop is ideal for the complete beginner and lasts 2 hours. It introduces you to the basic tools and findings and covers the essential techniques, including making simple loops, basic stringing and finishing necklaces and bracelets.

You will then use these techniques to make this pretty bracelet and earrings set to take away with you. 

INTRODUCTION TO CHAIN MAILLE  EMBELLISHED BRACELET & EARRINGS

This workshop is a good introduction to chain maille -you will learn the 2+2+2 technique and be shown how this can be varied.

This technique will then be used to make a lovely chain maille bracelet and earrings set and embellish it with bicones and crystals.

 


       

CELTIC CHAIN MAILLE  CUFF & EARRINGS


You will learn the Celtic chain maille technique and  then use this technique to make this chain maille cuff and earrings set which is combined with Japanese 4mm squares.

This workshop is suitable for those who have attended our Beginner's workshop or who have mastered plain loops and can use crimp beads.

 


       

CELTIC CHAIN MAILLE  NECKLACE

This workshop takes the Celtic chain maille technique a step further and introduces Celtic knots.

 

Crystal puffy rondelles add an extra element to this striking necklace. This workshop is suitable for those who have attended our Beginner's workshop or who have mastered plain loops.

MULTI-STRAND FLOWER NECKLACE

This workshop focusses on stringing and finishing necklaces and bracelets with lots of hints and tips, including using crimp bead covers and wire-guardians. These techniques will then be used to make this pretty pearl and fire-polished necklace.

You will need to have been on our Beginner's Workshop or to have basic beading knowledge.

EMBELLISHED WIRE FLOWER NECKLACE


You will be shown a useful wirework technique which creates a spider web effect. This is then used to embellish this large wire flower with small fire-polished beads and 7/0 and farfalle seed beads.

This workshop is suitable for those who have attended our Beginner's workshop or who have mastered basic jewellery making.

INTRODUCTION TO WEAVING - CROSSWEAVE BRACELET

This workshop is a good start to learning the art of weaving. You will be taught this easy but very useful two-strand technique and shown how it can be varied to create different effects.   You will then make a bracelet with bicones and pearls.

INTRODUCTION TO WIREWORK - PENDANT & EARRINGS


This workshop will show you how to make a variety of freeform wirework shapes, using just pliers. You will then use this technique to make this delicate pendant and matching earrings.

WRAPPED LOOPS BRACELET 

 

This workshop will focus on the very useful technique of wrapped loops.  You will then make this pretty bracelet and earrings set which uses this technique in two ways to create a lovely decorative effect.

Participants will need to have mastered plain loops.

HEART PENDANT

 

Learn to make this eye-catching pendant which incorporates a useful "floating" technique and cord to attach 13mm hearts, pearls and bicones to the 50mm heart. Cord is then threaded through the chain to finish a striking necklace, complete with earrings.

Suitable for those who have been on the Beginners course or have some beading experience.
   

WIREWORK 2 - BRACELET

This workshop will show you how to make a variety of wirework shapes and eyepins using standard pliers. This technique can then be used to make your own shapes for necklaces, bracelets and earrings using basic tools. This bracelet can be made using Czech pearls or fire-polished beads, as well as the resin beads shown.

This intermediate level class is suitable for participants who have been on the Introduction to Wirework or who have beading experience.
   

CHAIN MAILLE & SEED BEAD NECKLACE & EARRINGS
 

This workshop will show you how to make this pretty chain maille necklace using 9mm jump rings.  The side rings are embellished with seed beads.  You will also make an elegant pair of chain maille earrings.
   

EMBELLISHED LINK NECKLACE 

You will be shown this versatile technique which creates a spider-web effect and, once learnt, can be used in many ways.  You will then make this necklace using seed beads in different toning shades to embellish each of the 40mm rhodium links to make a delicate sparkling pendant on a multi-strand necklace.

You will need to have been on our Beginner's Workshop or to have basic beading knowledge.
   

WIREWORK LEAF NECKLACE - WORKING WITH A MANDREL 1 

This workshop will introduce you to working with a multi-mandrel to make basic wirework shapes including circles, ovals, squares and triangles. These techniques will then be used to make this lovely necklace. 

You will need to have been on our Beginner's Workshop or to have basic beading knowledge.
   

 

WIREWORK BUTTERFLY NECKLACE & EARRINGS - WORKING WITH A MANDREL 2 

This workshop takes using a multi-mandrel a stage further and will show you how to make more complex shapes, including a clasp. You will then make a series of butterflies in various sizes to make this delicate necklace and earrings set.

You will need to have been on our Beginner's Workshop or to have basic beading knowledge.  We would recommend some wirework experience or attending the first mandrel workshop beforehand.
   

BEADED BEAD NECKLACE & EARRINGS - CROSSWEAVE

This workshop shows you how to make beautiful beaded beads using crossweave and will show you various ways to put them together to make gorgeous jewellery.

You will then make this sparkling necklace using 6 and 8mm fire-polished beads and 12mm glass pearls, together with matching earrings.

You will need basic beading knowledge.

   

NEW: RHODIUM LINK NECKLACE AND EARRINGS

Rhodium links can be used on their own or with connectors to design your own earrings, pendants and to make chain. You will look at different design ideas and then make this delicate necklace using 20, 30 and 40mm links with fire-polished beads and metallic pearls, together with matching earrings.

You will need basic beading knowledge.

   

NEW: MULTI-STRAND NECKLACE WITH HEART PENDANT & EARRINGS

This workshop looks at techniques for stringing and finishing necklaces and bracelets, including using calottes and multi-strand clasps and the use of pattern.

These techniques will then be used to make this sparkling fire-polished necklace with a detachable heart pendant and matching earrings.

You will need basic beading knowledge.

   

NEW: INTRODUCTION TO THE COILING GIZMO - NECKLACE & EARRINGS

You will be shown how to use this ingenious tool to make wire coils and to create different effects. You will then use these techniques to make this striking necklace and earrings set. The wire beads are made in two colours of wire and contrasted with 8mm crystal bicones. Wire coils are also used in different ways to make the ribbon pendant.

You will need basic beading knowledge.

   

NEW: SHAMBALLA BRACELETS

Shamballa bracelets are incredibly popular and you will be shown the macrame knotting techniques needed to make them.  You will then be able to make up your own bracelets using beads such as these crystal puffy rondelles and rhinestone beads. You will also be shown how these knotting techniques can  be incorporated into other designs.

Previous beading knowledge is not necessary.


All the materials are included in the cost and the necessary tools will be provided for the duration of the class. There will be a choice of colours for each project.  Light refreshments will be available at the beginning of the workshop.
 

Central London Venue

The workshops are held at our London shop at 1 Marshall Street, WIF 9BA, which is near Carnaby Street and about 5 minutes walk from Piccadilly Circus or Oxford Circus.

Cost

These workshops costs £25 each.  VAT is included in the workshop prices.

Please note that ordering a workshop does not constitute a booking.   We will contact you to confirm whether a place at your selected workshop is available and will normally confirm within three working days. No payment will be taken before your booking has been confirmed. 

Cancellations and Refunds


Please let us know as soon as possible if you are unable to attend and we will try and transfer you onto another workshop. A refund may be offered on a discretionary basis.
